ESET is a solid anti-malware engine, useful firewall settings and a password manager that includes form filling capabilities and browser protection and excellent security tools for networks. Its parental control, secure browser, and anti-theft features are decent, but not exceptional. It does not include a VPN or microphone protection, however it does provide remote screen capture or camera access to view what a burglar has been up to on your mobile or laptop.

The program has an attractive interface that is simple to comprehend and manage by beginners but it also offers comprehensive information and power user features for those who require it. The company offers excellent customer service, which is available via their website or the client directly by clicking the “support” button that is located at the bottom of every application.

We really liked the way that ESET Internet Security shows you how it’s protecting your PC by providing a status bar at the top of the window and also gives you detailed protection information. The program will notify you on the desktop, close to the system tray, whenever something significant happens to your computer.

The antiphishing features of the antivirus were extremely vigilant and blocked a variety of websites that I trusted but were not listed on PhishTank. The program also automatically checks USB storage devices once they are connected to our laptop. This was annoying, as most other antiviruses require permission.
